WINSTON CHURCHILL WORLD WAR II FILM SERIES (2014-2015)

Presented by the St. Louis Public Library and the National Churchill Museum

In commemoration of the seventieth anniversary of the Invasion of Normandy, this yearlong series features monthly screenings of motion pictures set in World War II and includes discussions putting each fi lm in historical context. Kit Freudenberg, Acting Director of the National Churchill Museum, leads the discussions.

All programs begin at 1:15 p.m.

Sept. 7 The Dambusters Lancaster bomber squadron destroys German dams

Oct. 5 The Longest Day Events leading up to D-Day

Nov. 2 The Memphis Belle Fictionalized version of the documentary
